SC Villa delivered an emphatic 6-1 victory over Wakiso Giants in a thrilling Uganda Premier League clash at the Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku, on Saturday.

The Jogoo bounced back in style after a narrow 1-0 defeat to rivals Express in their previous match.

Charles Lwanga opened the scoring in the 14th minute, capitalizing on relentless pressure from the home side.

Patrick Kakande doubled the lead in the 32nd minute with a stunning strike that left fans cheering.

Hakim Kiwanuka added a third goal six minutes into the second half, solidifying SC Villa’s dominance.

Wakiso Giants were handed a lifeline in the 56th minute when Simon Ssemayange handled the ball in the box, resulting in a penalty.

Marvin Oshaba calmly converted from the spot, pulling one back for the Purple Sharks.

However, SC Villa refused to let up. Lwanga scored again, followed by goals from Reagan Mpadde and David Owori, ensuring a one-sided triumph for the hosts.

The victory propels SC Villa to fourth place on the league table with 14 points, while Wakiso Giants slide to 13th with just nine points.

It was a statement performance from the Jogoo, who continue to stage stellar performances at home.
