Uganda Premier League side Lugazi has completed the signing of forward Jumah Lutakome from Paidha Black Angels.
Lutakome joins the top-tier side on a one-year employment contract. The announcement was made today Thursday, January 30, 2025.
"It is with great pride that we announce the signing of striker Lutakome from Paidha Black Angels," the statement partly reads.
Lutakome is excited to represent a top-tier side and can't wait to get started.
"It is a great opportunity for me to play in the Uganda Premier League. When I heard of the interest from Lugazi FC, I never thought twice. It has always been my dream to play for a big team," he said.
"I can’t wait to get started, enjoy the journey and help my team in any way I can. The strong competition here has not scared me. I believe I can be the best player in my position, and with time, I will prove that to everyone," he added.
He becomes Lugazi's fifth signing of the mid-season transfer window ahead of the highly anticipated 2024/25 UPL second round.
Lugazi FC lies in 13th position with 14 points after 15 games of the UPL first round.
