Netball National Cup | Result

Uganda National Netball Team, She Cranes clinched the bronze from the just concluded Vitality Netball Nations Cup.

She Cranes secured a hard-fought 50-45 victory against Malawi to seal the third position of the tournament.

It was the second time the two sides were meeting in the tournament and Malawi defeated Uganda 59-45 in the group stage.

Uganda were trailing at the end of the first quarter (11-14) but took a slight lead (26-23) going into the long break.

Coming from the locker rooms, it was an end-to-end encounter as Uganda's lead was slimmed (38-37) going into the final period.

However, Uganda held on and sealed a five-goal thrilling victory.

Mary Nuba and Irene Eyaru led the ladies from the front with 34 and 16 goals respectively.
