Uganda Premier League | Fixture

  • Wakiso Giants vs SC Villa
  • Vipers SC vs URA FC

Vipers SC will look to extend their impressive run when they take on URA FC at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, on Tuesday evening.

Currently leading the Uganda Premier League table with 34 points from 15 matches, Vipers have little margin for error as they strive to maintain their position.

With NEC trailing by just one point, any slip-up could see them lose their spot at the summit.

Speaking ahead of the game, head coach Fred Muhumuza acknowledged the increased difficulty of the second round and emphasized the need for greater effort.

"The second round is always tricky and demands total commitment, as teams fight for survival, bragging rights, and better league positions," Muhumuza stated.

"Every game feels like a final, and we anticipate tough challenges. However, the lads understand what is at stake and will give their best to secure victory," he added.

URA FC, currently fifth with 24 points from 15 matches, pose a significant threat under coach Alex Isabirye. Isabirye, who previously managed Vipers, will be eager to prove himself against his former club.

In the reverse fixture earlier this season, Vipers secured a 2-0 victory over URA FC, with goals from Allan Okello and Milton Karisa.

They will be hoping for a repeat performance as they continue their quest for the league title.
