Henry Kitegenyi was on target as Mbarara City secured maximum points in a 1-0 victory against Mbale Heroes in the Uganda Premier League encounter on Thursday

In a game played at Mbale Municipal Stadium Kitegenyi came to the party late nicking in a late-goal winner.

Mbale Heroes were on the front foot for most of the game but lacked the sharpness in the final third.

Kitegenyi broke the deadlock in the 80th minute with a powerful header into the back of the net.

Mbale Heroes lie bottom of the log with 10 points in 16 games while Mbarara City lie 10th on the log with 20 points.

Elsewhere, Kitara was held by UPDF in a goalless at Bombo Barracks Stadium.
