SC Villa registered a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Express in the Uganda Premier League encounter at Prison Grounds, Luzira on Saturday.

Patrick Kakande's strike was the difference as SC Villa collected the maximum number of points on the day.

The visitors squandered several chances to find a leveller and that meant they lost back-to-back games.

Muhammad Kaggawa, Richard Basangwa and Geoffrey Gagganga came close but were all denied by SC Villa custodian Norman Angufidru.

SC Villa returned to winning ways after the one-all draw against Wakiso Giants in the first game of the first round.

SC Villa lies 5th on the log with 24 points while Express is fourth with 25 points in 17 points.
