KCCA has had a mixed run of form this season, but the Kasasiro Boys are determined to build on their recent success when they face UPDF in the Uganda Premier League.
In their last match, KCCA secured an impressive 5-0 victory over struggling Mbale Heroes at MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo. This well-deserved win ended a six-game winless streak, restoring hope among fans and management during a challenging period.
KCCA has dominated encounters against UPDF, remaining unbeaten in their last 13 meetings, with eight wins and five draws.
This strong record provides confidence as they travel to Bombo for this important fixture.
KCCA head coach Abdallah Mubiru expressed optimism ahead of the match, highlighting the team's thorough preparation and positive mindset.
"We have prepared well for UPDF FC, which has always been a tough opponent for us," Mubiru stated.
"The boys have trained hard all week, the mood in camp is high, and we hope to use our previous game as a momentum shift as we head into the final stretch of the league."
KCCA will be without Steven Munguchi and Mustafa Mujuzi due to injuries while Ettiene Katenga and Hassan Muhamud have returned to training, they are not yet fit for this match.
On the other hand, UPDF will welcome back Christopher Kawagu, who missed their previous defeat to URA due to suspension.
