KCCA Panthers secured a hard-fought 56-53 victory over Rezlife Saints in the National Basketball League at YMCA Court in Wandegeya.

The Saints, returning to the top flight after a season in the lower division, suffered a narrow defeat in their first game back.

KCCA took an early lead, finishing the first quarter ahead by three points (15-12). They extended their advantage to seven points (28-21) by halftime.

Despite a strong third-quarter fightback from the Saints, the Panthers maintained a five-point lead heading into the final quarter.

With five minutes left in the game, KCCA held an 11-point advantage but faced a tense finish as the Saints mounted a late comeback attempt.

Rezlife Saints were led by Apugi Takpiny and Leonard Gilabi, who each scored 10 points.

For the Panthers, Stephen Otoa dominated the scoreboard with 25 points, while Ceaser Kizito added 11.
