Uganda Premier League side KCCA FC and FUFA Women Super League champions Kampala Queens have tied the knot which will see them enter marriage for a period of three years.
The partnership will get underway on Saturday, July 1 and end on June 30, 2026. The development was revealed on Tuesday, June 20.
"KCCA Football Club and Kampala Queens Football Club have entered into partnership for a period of three years," the document partly read.
"The partnership has KCCA FC agreeing to take on Kampala Queens FC as a sole Women Football team while equally, Kampala Queens take on KCCA FC as its sole men's team for all official engagements including FUFA, CAF, and FIFA competitions," it continued.
Kampala Queens' new official home is now the MTN Omondi Stadium switching from IUIU Ground in Kabojja where they played their last game against the Lady Doves.
"The partnership will also see KCCA FC provide technical knowledge exchange to Kampala Queens FC's technical team intermittently for the growth of the game of football in the country."
KCCA FC will be part of the CAF Confederation Cup and among the requirements in the tournament is having a women's football club.
While the Queens of Soccer will also be taking part in the CECAFA Zonal Qualifiers as they seek a slot into the CAF Women's Champions League.
