  • Kawempe Muslim 2-2 She Makerere

Kawempe Muslim dropped two points to She Makerere after a two-all draw in the FUFA Women's Super League on Wednesday evening.

The Valley Warriors hold a two-goal lead which they later gave away in the last six minutes of the game.

Makerere University nearly got Kawempe napping in the 19th minute with a long effort but goalkeeper Juliet Adeke intervened on time thus conceding a corner kick.

Makerere's custodian Sharifah gifted Kawempe with a freekick after tripping Agness Nabukenya at the edge of the box. But Kawempe failed to take the advantage.

Yudaya Nakayenze finally nodded home to the hosts in the 36th minute. The forward made a great run through the crowd to pounce onto Samalie Nakacwa's corner kick.

Nakayenze nearly doubled matters three minutes later but her touch off Nabukenya's great delivery bounced off the frame.

Three minutes into the second stanza, Nakayenze doubled the host's lead with a world-class finish in front of an electric crowd.

In the 65th minute, Kawempe made a double change introducing Rhoda Nanziri and Allen Nasaaza for Phiona Nabulima and Kruthum Namutebi.

Sharon Namatovu pulled one back for the visitors with six minutes to play thus giving Makerere hope in the game.

Daphine Nalubowa drove home a wonderful freekick through Daphine Nalubowa to level the game in the 89th minute.

The point takes Kawempe Muslim on top of the log with 14 points while Makerere are fifth with seven points.
