Express will finally get Brian Majwega after the two sides advancing talks to seal off the transfer.
The party sides finally sealed off the move but the club failed to meet the players’ demands.
Reports indicate that Majwega delayed the move anticipating finalising a move to Rwanda which hardly materialised.
If the deal finalises, Majwega will have to put in a great effort to be named ahead of Ismael Kawawulo who has had an impressive first round.
The roving left-back has been clubless since partying ways with KCCA FC after getting to the end of the contract.
He has previously played for KCCA, Azam, Simba, Attraco, Maroons and URA. Majjwega has played for decent sides and so is Express in the calibre.
After the end of the UPL first round, Express sit sixth on the log with 25 points from 15 games played.
The Red Eagles will kick start the second round with a visit to Mbarara City on Friday, February 9, 2024.
