Uganda Premier League, Vipers SC has promoted youthful forward Fazil Tumwine to the senior side.
Tumwine has been elevated from their main feeder side St Mary’s Secondary School, Kitende, as the conveyor belt keeps rolling.
The development was confirmed via the club’s official handle on Tuesday, January 24.
“Young SMASK attacker Fazil Tumwine has been elevated to Vipers SC's first team squad from our main feeder side, St Mary’s Boarding School, Kitende,” the statement partly reads.
“Tumwine who has been training with us since Coach Livingstone Mbabazi arrived at St Mary’s Stadium caught the coach’s eye with unsuping strength and prowess in front of goal.”
The Kitende-based side continues to reap from their always-yielding nursery bed that has previously given the senior team youngsters such as Frank Katongole, Enock Luyima and Abubakali Walusimbi.
Tumwine put up a thrilling show as Kitende lifted the football trophy in the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) games that were played in Fort Portal last year.
Vipers return to action on Monday, January 29 as they take on Lugazi Stars in the Uganda Cup duel that will be played at Metha Grounds in Lugazi
