Uganda Sports Press Association (USPA) has come to an understanding with the National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board (NLGRB) in a nationwide campaign to promote responsible gaming.

The development was announced in the USPA monthly meeting held at the Uganda Olympic Committee offices on Monday, October 8, 2024.

The drive is meant to focus on topics relevant to gaming, sports, entertainment, and health, fostering discussions on potential collaborations and regulatory frameworks.

Jackline Kamakune, Senior Communication Officer, admitted that the drive is expected to have an impact on sports development and responsible gaming practices.

"As USPA, you have a big influence on the sports industry. On October 16, we shall officially sign a partnership with USPA," she said.

"We believe that this partnership will foster a positive impact on sports development and responsible gaming practices in Uganda."

The campaign is set to start with a stakeholder engagement on October 16, 2024.

The specific venue for this event will be announced in the coming days.
