Rines SS secured a well-deserved 3-1 victory over Makerere University in the Women's Super League at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium on Sunday.

Patricia Nakato, Phiona Arach, and Jasmine Nalukwago scored for Rines, while Zaina Namuleme netted for the visitors.

Nakato opened the scoring in the 5th minute with a well-taken penalty.

Fourteen minutes later, Namuleme levelled the score with a brilliant strike.

Arach regained the lead for the hosts with a well-curled free-kick in the 25th minute.

Nalukwago extended Rines' lead in the 38th minute.

Despite Makerere's efforts to mount a comeback in the second half, Rines held on to secure the victory.

The win moved Rines to third place in the league with 11 points after seven games.

Makerere University remained in sixth place with nine points.
