Uganda Premier League | Fixture
- Police vs Lugazi - 4pm
Police is set to lock horns with Lugazi in the Uganda Premier League encounter at Kavumba Recreation Ground on Wednesday.
The encounter ends a 13-day wait since the Uganda Premier League took a break due to the international break.
After securing one point in the opening games, Lugazi have turned around things and are yet to lose in the previous four games.
Speaking ahead of the game, Lugazi assistant head coach Oliver Mbekeka revealed that they have used the international break to further sharpen the team.
"We have used the (international) break to prepare the team ahead of Police's clash," she said.
"We are still working on the belief and character. I believe we have a good team but the players have to first believe if they are to pick positive results," she added.
Lugazi's backline has greatly improved since they have not conceded a goal in the last four games.
They lie 12th on a 16-team log with nine points after playing eight games in the ongoing campaign.
In the same breath, Police lie ninth on the log with 11 points. They have lost once in the eight games played.
