Uganda Premier League side Mbale Heroes have parted ways with head coach Asaph Mwebaze.

Mbale Heroes confirmed the gaffer's departure in a document released on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.

"We wish to inform you that Mbale Heroes Football Club has mutually agreed to terminate the contract with the head coach, Asaph Mwebaze," the document partly reads.

This comes after the club suspended the gaffer for 28 days alleging misconduct and unethical behaviour.

The development brings an end to Mwebaze's second stint at the club. The gaffer greatly impacted the journey of Mbale Heroes' promotion to the top tier.

According to the club's statement, they are actively seeking a head coach as Mubarak Wamboya handles the team on interim basis.
