FUFA Women Super League side Kawempe Muslim has suffered a major blow following the departure of their captain, Phiona Nabulime.
The club confirmed Nabulime’s exit through its official social media platforms on Friday, February 2, 2025.
"Thank you for being such an incredible team captain. Your leadership and dedication have been invaluable to our success," the statement partly read.
"We will miss your positive energy and guidance. Best of luck in your next chapter," it added.
Reliable sources indicate that Nabulime has joined Egyptian side Masar FC, taking the next step in her football career.
She follows in the footsteps of her teammate Hadijah Nandago, who recently moved to Sethu Women FC in India.
At Masar FC, Nabulime will reunite with compatriots Shadia Nankya and Aisha Nantongo, who are already playing in the Egyptian league.
