Blacks Power has eliminated NEC to qualify for the round of 16 in the ongoing prestigious Uganda Cup tournament.

Blacks Power registered a 2-0 victory against NEC in the Uganda Cup encounter at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, on Tuesday.

Innocent Maduka and Joshua Omara were on target as the visitors secured the historic victory.

The first half ended goalless despite the hosts missing several chances.

Maduka broke the deadlock in the 58th minute after a thrilling solo run before guiding the ball into the back of the net.

With nine minutes on the clock, Omara doubled the visitors' lead with a powerful effort from close range after being set up by Maduka.

NEC will now shift attention to the Uganda Premier League where they lie second behind log leaders Vipers SC.
