- KCCA vs Bright Stars – 7 PM
KCCA will take on relegation-threatened Bright Stars in a Uganda Premier League encounter at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, on Friday.
KCCA head coach Abdallah Mubiru has warned his players against complacency, emphasizing the importance of treating the match with utmost seriousness.
"The message to the players is clear—we have no room for complacency. We are facing a team fighting to avoid relegation, and such sides can be very tricky," Mubiru stated.
"We cannot afford any more slip-ups, so we are approaching this game with full focus. Unfortunately, Joel Sserunjogi will be unavailable due to suspension," he added.
However, KCCA has received a boost with the return of Hassan Muhamud, Steven Munguchi, and Mustafa Mujuzi, who have all regained full fitness and are available for selection.
On the other hand, Brian Ijara will be unavailable as he is away on national duty with the Uganda U-17 team, preparing for the AFCON U-17 tournament.
In their last five meetings, KCCA has won three times, Bright Stars has claimed one victory, while the other encounter ended in a draw.
