BUL Football Club has bolstered its goalkeeping department with the addition of Tom Ikara.

Ikara joins from Police Football Club on a two-year contract and becomes the club's fourth signing following Ronald Otti (Mbarara), Frank Kalanda (Police), and Emmanuel Obua (Kyetume).

BUL's goalkeeping department has Saidi Keni, Emmanuel Kalyowa and John Okurut.

Tom Ikara's Football Journey

Ikara rose from BB Soda academy and Blacksmith Football Club in the lower divisions and later joined Kirinya-Jinja SS (now Busoga United) where he spent more than five years. He played for Kirinya from the Regional League to the Uganda Premier League.

He won the best goalkeeper award of the Fufa Big League (2015-16) after making 13 clean sheets, guiding Busoga to promotion to the UPL as well as winning the Big League title in his first season in the competition.

Ikara also kept 13 clean sheets in his first top-flight season (2016-17) despite Busoga facing the threat of relegation throughout the season.

He then moved to KCCA FC in January of 2018 where he won the league title before he was transferred to Mbarara City on loan in 2019 and later joined Police.
