The Uganda Cricket Cranes team will travel to Jersey for the 2022 ICC World Cup Challenge League B tournament via ferry following their flight from Entebbe through Doha to London.

The team will take four hours on the trip before docking in Jersey where they will reside for the next couple of days.

According to a statement released on the Federation's Twitter page, the team needed to get to Jersey in time, and flights to the region were scarce, a reason for the ferry option.

"Ebb-Doha-London-Jersey Our bus driver Jabu from Heathrow to Poole Port was a firecracker throughout the two-hour trip. The Cricket Cranes will take a 4-hour ferry to Jersey which is their camp for the next 14 days. #CricketCranesInColour," read the first part of the post.

"Yes flight options not available and we needed to be in Jersey ASAP," the account further replied to a query about why the team didn't fly to Jersey.

The outfit will be led by Deus Muhumuza as captain Brian Masaba remained home, ruled out due to injury. Uganda seeks qualification to the next stage which will also mean acquiring One Day International (ODI) status.
