Police take on Wakiso Giants in the Uganda Premier League encounter at Kavumba Recreation Grounds on Wednesday.

The Cops will be looking to end a winless run of three consecutive draws when they host Wakiso Giants at Kavumba in their 11th league fixture.

In their last match, Police squandered the lead twice, settling for a 2-2 draw against UPDF.

This followed two goalless stalemates against Lugazi and NEC, stretching their search for a win since their last victory at the end of October — a 2-1 triumph over Mbale Heroes, which remains their only home win of the season.

The recent draw marked their seventh stalemate of the campaign, including three consecutive draws in their opening fixtures.

So far, Police FC have only managed two wins this season, accumulating 13 points and sitting ninth on the log, just three points shy of the top four.

Despite their struggles, the Cops remain unbeaten at home and have only lost once overall this season — a 2-1 away defeat to Vipers.

Police head coach Simon Peter Mugerwa is banking on their strong home record to boost their chances in this encounter.

“Now that we are at home, we want to correct the mistakes we made last time. We defended poorly in the last game, so we need to improve. This time, we want to perform well in all departments to secure the three points,” Mugerwa stated.

BUL take on UPDF in the Uganda Premier League encounter at Lugazi Stadium in Najjembe on Wednesday evening.

The oil manufacturers seek to arrest the poor run by bouncing back into winning ways after three straight draws.

BUL has been held by Maroons, Express and Mbale Heroes in games where they had all the chances to bag maximum points.

BUL head coach Abbey Kikomeko is confident that they will put in all it takes to secure maximum points on the day.

“We are going to put in what it takes to win our second home game of the season,” the gaffer strongly noted.

“We create chances in all our games but fail to convert them, but we have worked on that, and we are going out for revenge tomorrow,” he added.

“We are hosting UPDF tomorrow after our barren draw against Maroons last time out. UPDF is one of the teams that dented our title hopes last season,” he concluded.

On the other side of the paper, UPDF will be all out to secure the first away win of the ongoing campaign.

They have suffered three defeats and made two draws in the five games they have played away from home.

Last season, UPDF managed to pick up six points (2-0 and 0-1) from the two games played against the Jinja-based side.
