Kobs needed two tries to upstage new rivals Heathens as they claimed their third finals victory of the sevens series on Saturday.

The Legends based side capitalized on Adrian Kasito's illegal block on Nobert Okeny to earn a penalty try.

Later, Kasito sealed the third circuit success for Kobs after another quick tap from a penalty.

Heathens' journey was cut short despite being boosted by the return of Aaron Ofoywroth, had dispatched Black Pirates, 10-05, in the second main cup semifinal.

The result meant Kobs - who had eased past Buffaloes - collected maximum points on the trip, and a UGX 500,000 winners’ cash prize.

Heathens finished an impressive second ahead of Black Pirates and Buffaloes in third and fourth places respectively.

The Sevens Series will take a break for one weekend before resuming with the Rujumba Sevens on October 30 at Kings Park Stadium. 

Action will then be taken to Kabale before the series finale at Legends during the Coronation Sevens.
