Wakiso Hill secured a 2-1 victory against Kawempe Muslim in the FUFA Women Super League encounter at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende on Thursday.

The Antelopes secured a huge victory against log leaders to further cement their stay in the top tier.

Fatumah Nakasumba fired the hosts ahead with a brilliant free-kick past Kawempe Muslim custodian Juliet Adeke.

Wakiso Hill held on to their 1-0 lead into the break after a spectacular show in front of their loud crowd.

Rashida Nankya doubled the lead in the 52nd minute with a neat finish following a brilliant exchange with Phiona Nabudduwa.

Six minutes later, Hadijah Nandago pulled one back with a powered header planted off a corner kick.

The victory takes Wakiso Hill to the seventh position with 18 points while Kawempe Muslim are on the log summit with 34 points.

Next on the menu, Kawempe Muslim will host Asubo Gafford while Wakiso Hill will be away from home against Lady Doves on Sunday, May 12.
