  • Maroons vs Busoga United - 4PM
  • KCCA vs Mbarara City - 7PM

KCCA will be seeking to return to winning ways as they face Mbarara City in the Uganda Premier League at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.

The Kasasiro Boys were kicked out of the Uganda Cup by BUL FC in spot kicks. The UPL encounter against the Ankole Lions provides them a glorious chance to return to glory.

In the pre-match conference, the KCCA head coach stated that the boys’ morale is high and they have since shaken off the disappointment of being kicked out of the prestigious tournament.

“We have managed to calm the boys down (after being eliminated in the Uganda Cup) and the boy’s morale is up to put up yet another great performance,” he stated.

“Our hope is always trying to play better than we did in our previous game. We are going to try and manage ourselves better because we are trying to solve the mistakes that denied us victory (in the Uganda Cup),” he added.

Though the campaign started on a very poor run, KCCA have since turned around its fortunes and now lies sixth on the log with 35 points, nine away from the log leaders.

Mubiru asserts that even after the Uganda Cup elimination, KCCA still has a lot to play for and they continue handling one game at a time

“There is still a lot we are competing for so we have to try and play better every single day. We shall continue handling game per game because we are well conversant doing so,” he concluded.

In the first leg, KCCA suffered a 2-1 loss so they badly want to revenge in their own yard.

Roving left back, Mustafa Kizza will miss the action due to a muscle strain while Ashraf Mugume returns after missing BUL’s encounter.
