Three athletes were recognised as the best of April in the Real Stars Monthly Awards for the month of April.

The three athletes were recognised in an event that was held at Jude Colour Solutions offices in Kampala.

KCCA's Muhammad Shaban (football), Heathen's Micheal Wokorach (rugby) and Farahat Manirola (boxing) were rewarded as the best athletes of April.

To win the football award, Shaban beat Sharon Namatovu and Paul Mucureezi in a tight competition.

Shaban has been so instrumental in the KCCA's excellent run scoring four goals in five games in the league.

In Rugby, Wokorach beat Emily Lekaru and Yasin Wasswa to the gong.

Wokorach was a kingpin in Heathens' three games played in April including picking a man-of-the-match accolade against Impis.

Manirola received the Boxing award beating Henry Kasujja and Harold Mukuye.

Manirola's sensational journey was highlighted by a knockout victory over DR Congo Gael Assuman in Kampala.
