Buddo Secondary School match into the quarterfinals of the ongoing USSSA football games in Fort Portal City on Wednesday afternoon. In a game played at Kichwamba playground, Buddo registered a 3-0 victory against Kiggumba Royal to advance into the last eight. Joseph Kizza, Jimmy Kalema and Denis Kisiriko were on target as the champions of the Wakiso Region matched onto the next stage. In the 17th minute, Kizza opened the scoring sheet when he found the back of the net after Kiggumba’s backline failed to deal with an earlier set piece. After recess, Kalema doubled the tally coming off Kisiriko’s acute pass from a tough angle to complete a delightful team goal. Later on, the provider Kisiriko also got onto the scoring sheet converting from the 12-yard spot to seal the bragging rights for Peter Mugerwa’s coached side. Buddo is targeting their third USSSA title, their last came in 2018 however they won their maiden in 2009 which was as well hosted in Fort Portal.
