Mahatlane to handle Africa’s best T20 associate team against Asia, Europe select sides
Laurence Mahatlane will handle Africa's best T20 associate team against Asia and Europe select sides, MTN Sports has learned.
The Cricket Cranes coach was selected for the role after guiding Uganda to the inaugural ACA Africa T20 Challenge Cup trophy.
Uganda defeated Tanzania by 8 wickets in the final thanks to Riazat Ali Shah's heroics in the 18th over to draw the Pearl in pole position for victory.
Mahatlane will be in charge of a team of 18 players selected from the 8 participating sides.
Among the 18 players will be; the man of the moment and the tournament's best batsman Riazat Ali Shah, Kenneth Waiswa, Cosmas Kyewuta, Juma Miyagi, and Alpesh Ramjani.
The best players will compete against select sides from Europe and Asia with the dates for the same events to be communicated.
