Fast-rising Ugandan star Boris Aguma will continue to develop his career in both mass communication and the sport of tennis after being awarded a scholarship to do both at Dillard University.
Under the U.S Mission Uganda Education program, Boris will study at the private, historically black university in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The 22-year old will travel in January to further pursue his career according to a statement released by U.S Mission Uganda on their social media platform.
"A giant Partying face from all of us at the Mission to @agumaboris! Augma completed 2021 by receiving a full scholarship to play Tennis ball @du1869 Dillard Univ in the state of Louisiana," read the statement.
"In Jan. 2022, Aguma will travel to the Flag of United States to play Tennis ball & study mass communications! Congrats! #EducationUSA."
Aguma earned his first international ranking point after defeating Nigeria's Joseph Imeh Ubon in the first round of the Uganda ITF Pro Futures 4 in 2018.
He has since registered 6 wins, 11 losses with an ATP Singles ranking of 1773 as of 2nd July 2018 and 1692 ITF Singles ranking as of 13 May 2019.
