KCCA FC will host Busoga United in the Uganda Premier League at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on Thursday, March 27, 2024.

Previously, KCCA secured a 1-0 victory against rivals Vipers and they will be looking forward to building from that going forward.

In a pre-match conference, KCCA head coach Abdallah Mubiru revealed that they will be looking forward to maintaining the momentum earlier gathered from the previous games.

“We are targeting to build momentum we had gathered. We are looking forward to getting positive results against a side I can call a bogey side to us,” he stated.

“They have always been stubborn to us but we are trying to manage and I hope we can handle it well. We can never be excited about the past but rather mind how we shall manage the game best,” he added.

KCCA has had four players attached to the two national teams that have been in action and the gaffer noted that it's always challenging to pick a team in such a situation since you can hardly tell how fit and ready players are.

“It’s always a challenging moment to manage a team coming from an International Break because we have a number of players that have been away with the national sides. However, we are glad that none of them returned injured and so we shall be managing their fitness levels.”

“Good enough we have no player injured. So everyone is ready for selection and it's upon us to come up with a good group that will help us gather maximum points,” he concluded.

KCCA will miss the services of Joel Serunjogi due to the accumulation of bookings, though the gaffer sounded so confident noting the team has many players and they will find a fitting replacement.

The hosts lie eighth on the log with 29 points while Busoga are 14^th on the log with 17 games after playing 20 games.
