The 2022 MTN Kampala Marathon gets underway on Sunday 2oth, November at Kololo Independence grounds, and today, MTN has revealed some of the elite runners going to participate. In an event today, Ugandan Kiplimo Phillip who made his half marathon debut in the 2012 marathon and ran the distance in under one hour and two minutes was part of those revealed. The 31-year-old is a seasoned long-distance runner who finished fourth on his marathon debut at the 2014 Linz Marathon, running a time of 2:14:14 hours. As the previous winner of the 2019 edition in the 42Km category, Kiplimo will be battling for honors alongside fellow compatriot Joshua Chemutai Bekele who has also garnered experience over the 5000m distance. Kenyan marathoner Munyeki Charles Kiama has also been listed and he enters the fray with loads of experience. He is re-known for his spectacular show at the 2009 Chicago Marathon where he crossed the tape fourth in  2:07:06. Kiama is also revered after making podium place at the 2016 Warszawa Marathon in Poland. He ran 2:12:55 to complete the full marathon is style.
